  Oh, the Stories We Hold

Titled Oh, the Stories We Hold, this collection of new songs is the follow-up to the band's extremely popular 1999 debut, Things to Come.

Why the gap between albums? Simply put: Anna and the band wanted to do their sophomore studio effort right. And that they did.

On Oh, the Stories We Hold, Anna Fermin is joined by longtime members Paul Bivans on drums and Michael Krayniak on bass as well as guitarist Frank Kvinge, a native of Norway, who has worked with Otis Clay and many other notable musicians in every style of music, both in America and in Europe.

Additional fret work, as well as touches on mandolin and fiddle is provided by John Rice. Noted as one of Chicago's finest musicians, John appears on albums by the Waco Brothers, Freakwater, Kelly Hogan, and Wilco, to mention only a few of the many which have sought his talents.

And if that wasn't enough to pique your interest, former Wilco member Jay Bennett not only performs on Oh, the Stories We Hold, but also gives his keen ear and creative talents as producer.

But wait, there's more. Oh, the Stories We Hold was mixed and guided to daylight by famed engineer Jan Erik Kongshaug in Oslo, Norway at the storied Rainbow Studio. Acknowledged as one of Europe's top facilities, Rainbow Studio, and the expertise of Jan Erik have been utilized by everyone from Chick Corea to a-ha, from Bill Frisell to Gilberto Gil to Pat Metheny.

So when Anna Fermin's Trigger Gospel says they want to do things right, they mean it.
